About the MBAA
What We Do
The Notre Dame MBA Association (MBAA) is the heart of our vibrant MBA community. We're here to champion your experience, serving as the voice and liaison for all traditional MBA students and alumni. From engaging activities to vital programs, we work to enrich the journey for everyone in our community—students, their families, faculty, and administration.
We're committed to maximizing your academic, professional, and personal growth. The MBAA actively fosters community, professionalism, scholarship, and personal integrity among students while advocating for your needs directly with MBA program administrators.
In every action, we uphold the enduring values of the Notre Dame MBA Program, its alumni, and the University as a whole. Our goal is to strengthen the reputation of the Notre Dame MBA as a premier Catholic business school, a place where the ideals of community, human development, and individual integrity truly thrive.
How We Empower Your Journey:
Foster Connection: We create opportunities for meaningful interaction and fellowship among MBA students, their families, faculty, and administrators.
Enhance Academics: We actively shape and refine your academic experience.
Build Networks: We promote valuable relationships with leading business professionals.
Provide Resources: We connect you with essential resources and opportunities for scholarship and professional development.
Engage with South Bend: We deepen Notre Dame's commitment to the broader South Bend community.
Embrace Innovation: We leverage technological trends to benefit all MBA students.
Our Meetings
The MBAA Executive Council and MBAA Council meet weekly to guide the association's initiatives. These regular meetings are closed to the public to facilitate focused discussion. However, we invite club presidents to join us once a Mod for an open dialogue and collaboration session.
Our Budget
The MBAA's financial integrity is overseen by our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who diligently manages all financial records and reports on our fiscal status at every meeting. Our annual budget is carefully crafted or revised by the third week of the fall semester and formally approved by a recorded vote of the MBAA Council.
The MBA Executive Council is dedicated to responsible financial stewardship. We are required to operate with a balanced budget for our entire 12-month term, ensuring a seamless and debt-free transition of funds to the next administration.
Outside Clubs
To ensure a well-coordinated and successful calendar, all MBA clubs must schedule their activities in partnership with the Senior Vice President of Clubs, the MBA Program Office, and the Student Activities Office. This collaborative approach helps prevent conflicts and maximizes participation.
The MBAA is also proud to foster new student initiatives! We're responsible for approving new clubs and allocating start-up funds to help them get off the ground. If you have an idea for a new club, we're here to support you.
